How much does a maritime survey cost?
For a valuation (pleasure craft), the rate is an indicative price per metre, starting at €50 excl. VAT per metre. For a partial valuation, a claim or a specific incident, charges are based on time spent. The initial telephone consultation is always free of charge to assess your requirements.
How long will it take for me to receive my expert report?
An inspection appointment is usually arranged within 24 to 72 hours, depending on your location. The certified survey report, which is admissible in insurance claims and court proceedings, is delivered within two weeks of the visit.
What types of boats do you work on?
Motor and sailing pleasure craft, cargo ships, passenger vessels, tugs, CTVs (worker transport vessels), fishing vessels and offshore units. Areas of expertise: regulations, construction, structure and propulsion.
My insurance company has appointed a marine surveyor, how does the process work?
Cabinet Massol is regularly commissioned by Groupama, Allianz and other insurance companies. The valuation is carried out on an adversarial and independent basis, with a report drawn up in accordance with the insurers’ requirements. You may also appoint me as your party-appointed valuer to represent your interests.
